Impact Partners
At Endo Warriors Aotearoa, we believe access to period products is a basic need—not a privilege.
Alongside our education and advocacy mahi, we provide single-use and reusable period products to community organisations, schools, support services, and whānau across Aotearoa. These products include pads, tampons, period underwear, menstrual cups, reusable pads, and period swimwear.
We work with trusted community partners, including youth services, refugee and migrant organisations, schools, foodbanks, health providers, and whānau support services. These partnerships help period products reach the people who need them most in accessible, respectful, and community-led ways.
What is period poverty?
Period poverty is more than being unable to afford period products. It can also mean not having access to safe and private facilities, reliable information, healthcare, or the practical support needed to manage menstruation safely and with dignity.
For people experiencing financial hardship, the ongoing cost of period products can mean making difficult choices between essential items. Period-related costs can also include pain relief, hot water bottles, wheat packs, extra laundry, medical care, and support for health conditions that cause heavy bleeding.
Period poverty can prevent people from attending school or work, participating in sport, and taking part fully in their communities. It can also contribute to stress, isolation, shame, and stigma—making it harder for people to talk about their needs or ask for support.
Ending period poverty requires more than providing products. It requires menstrual health education, safe facilities, informed choice, supportive policies, advocacy, research, and long-term collaboration across communities, businesses, charities, schools, health services, and government.
